How to attract publicity for your film? I'm promoting this post by Rochelle on blogafi.org as I think it's fantastic insight offering great tips on attracting publicity for your film. This is for all the filmmakers out there and as we know in Australia you have to be able to multi-skill/task! In fact, in this digital age no matter what country you're in you really need to know more than your number #1 passion (acting). That's how I fell into writing and producing. ** Please note: this article is directed more at having a budget for publicity, however there's still some great tips you can adopt at no or very little charge.

Thanks for this Rochelle. Very insightful. This article is very specific to a certain film budget. Is there any chance of doing another similar article entirely dedicated to indie filmmakers? In particular, what publicity/marketing steps producers can take with little or no budget? Now there's a challenge. I think this article and (hopefully) my suggested piece really suit my audience at Ozemag.com. Cheers, Evette

Brilliant work Stephen Vagg. I love this movie as well. It is ahead of its time and a magficent script comparable with anything in the world up to its release and had scenes copied around the world since it was made. I'd like to see it re released to huge fanfare again soon. Quintessentially Australian, and compared to what comedy was around at the time like the Marx Broths, Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy, it definitely was better than those and stands up as well today.
